A room full of bliss!
Everybody now!
The Schall&Rausch Playroom
Schall&Rausch
Singing and moving together, meeting one another: In three playrooms, four artists from the last two festivals will guide the audience to collectively produce a lot of Schall and Rausch, sound and rapture.
The choice of playroom is up to you. Maybe go with Loulou Hameleers from the Dutch music theatre collective CLUB GEWALT, lead singer of the punk feminist band Herr Hamsterfleisch? Or with James Gaffigan, the Music Director of the Komische Oper Berlin, who’s well known for his collaborative spirit? Or with Nhlanhla Mahlangu, composer, choreographer, and performer at Johannesburg’s Centre for the Less Good Idea, also a specialist in isicathamiya, a singing tradition of South Africa’s Zulu? Or maybe do all three in a row!
Theatre maker Daniel Cremer will set the scene, lead a warm-up, and get you in the mood for this participatory roller-coaster ride. But for everything else . . . that’s what you’ll be doing!
With Loulou Hameleers (CLUB GEWALT), James Gaffigan (Komische Oper Berlin), Nhlanhla Mahlangu (The Centre for the Less Good Idea), and Daniel Cremer (performance artist)
