Katrin Lehmacher

The Argentinian scenographer, Katrin Lehmacher, completed her degree in stage and costume design (Licenciatura en Artes del Teatro y escenografía) in Buenos Aires. After graduating, she worked as an assistant at the Teatro Colón, the Teatro Argentino de La Plata and Buenos Aires Lírica as well as in the independent scene and as a costume and set designer for various short films. In 2013, she moved to Europe and worked in German-speaking countries on film, TV, theatre, opera and dance productions in the areas of set and costume design, as well as in stage technology, lighting and as a project manager. Katrin Lehmacher has lived in Cologne since 2016 and works primarily as a freelance stage and costume designer.

In the 2024/25 season, she is responsible for stage design and costumes at the Komische Oper Berlin for the pop-psychedelic space opera consistent fantasy is reality as part of the festival for brand-new music theatre Schall&Rausch.
